Riffs. Rhythm. Rattle.
Brooklyn-based Metagirl & the Earth Passengers is an original rock collective that's been making noise in NYC since 2016.
The group’s hook-driven sound blends blues, jazz, funk, punk, and ska into driving rock songs with fiery guitars and vocals described as "strong, expressive and versatile."
Obscure Sound calls their sound "energized" and "personality-filled," and
Foxfire Magazine said of their latest single "I Don't Care": "There is movement in every part of it, both emotionally and thematically. It makes us feel things that make us want to move instead of staying still."
The group's music features layered guitars, driving rhythms, and lyrics that have something to say about life, love, art — and sometimes even quantum physics.
Think Buzzcocks meet The Specials, with touches of REM and Kim Deal in the mix.
